Applies to: HomeWealthNow.com and all HomeWealthNow services, including our reverse mortgage and final expense insurance referral services.
1. Who we are
HomeWealthNow ("we," "our," or "us") operates HomeWealthNow.com. We are an independent marketing and lead referral service. We connect homeowners aged 62 and older with licensed reverse mortgage lenders, and we connect consumers with licensed insurance agents for final expense coverage.
We are not a lender, not a mortgage broker, and not an insurance company. We do not make credit or coverage decisions. We are compensated by our lending and insurance partners when we refer a qualified consumer to them.
By using our website or providing us with your personal information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or submit information to us.
2. A plain-language summary
The full detail is below, but here is the short version:
- When you contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email, and basic details about your situation.
- We share that information with lending and insurance partners who pay us for the referral. That is our business model, and it is how our service stays free to you.
- Because we receive compensation, that sharing may legally count as a "sale" or "share" of your information in some states. You can opt out. See Section 12.
- Our website chat assistant is AI software, not a person. Those conversations are recorded and stored. See Section 5.
- Phone calls may be recorded.
- We send text messages if you have consented. Reply STOP at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your information or stop contacting you at any point. See Section 13.
3. Information you give us
We collect information you provide voluntarily, including when you:
- Complete a form on our website. Typically your name, phone number, email address, age or date of birth, approximate home value, existing mortgage balance, ZIP code, and best time to reach you. For insurance inquiries, we may also collect coverage amount of interest and general health-related answers you choose to provide.
- Call us at 678-866-1955 (reverse mortgage) or 404-400-7884 (final expense). Calls may be recorded — see Section 5.
- Chat with our AI assistant on the website. See Section 5.
- Email us or reply to a text message.
- Request a guide or subscribe to receive educational materials.
Please do not send us sensitive information we have not asked for. Do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, or detailed medical records in a web form, email, or chat message. If a lender or insurance carrier needs that information, they will collect it directly through their own secure process.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and connection information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and general location inferred from your IP address.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring and exit pages, links clicked, scroll depth, and form interactions.
- Marketing attribution data: the ad, campaign, search term, or postcard QR code that brought you to the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 9.
5. AI assistant and call recordings
5.1 Our AI assistant is software, not a person
Our website uses an automated AI assistant identified as "Sarah." Sarah is software. She is not a human being, not a licensed loan officer, and not a licensed insurance agent. Sarah answers general questions and collects your contact details so a licensed human specialist can follow up. Quotes, eligibility determinations, and applications are handled only by licensed humans.
You can ask to speak with a person at any point in a conversation, or call us directly during business hours. You are never required to interact with the AI assistant to reach us.
5.2 What we collect from AI conversations
When you chat with our AI assistant, we collect and store:
- The full text of the conversation, including everything you type
- Any contact or personal details you provide during the chat
- The date, time, and duration of the conversation, and the page you started from
Conversation transcripts are stored in our customer relationship management system and may be reviewed by our staff and shared with the lending or insurance partner we refer you to, on the same basis as any other information you give us.
Our AI assistant is operated using third-party artificial intelligence technology. The content of your conversation is processed by those technology providers acting as our service providers in order to generate responses. We do not authorize them to use your conversation content to market to you.
5.3 Call recording
Phone calls to and from HomeWealthNow may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes, including maintaining proof of consent. Where required by law, you will be notified at the beginning of the call, and you may decline to be recorded or end the call at any time.
Some of our outbound calls may use automated dialing technology, prerecorded messages, or AI-generated voice. Where an automated or AI voice is used, we will identify it as such.
5.4 What the AI assistant does not do
The AI assistant does not make lending decisions, insurance underwriting decisions, or any other decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect about you. Those decisions are made by licensed human professionals at our partner lenders and carriers, under their own policies.
6. Text messaging
If you provide your mobile number and consent to text messaging, we and our partners may send you text messages about reverse mortgage or insurance products, appointment reminders, and follow-ups.
- By submitting a form with the text messaging consent language, or by otherwise opting in, you provide express written consent to receive automated marketing and informational text messages at the number provided.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving any service from us.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
- You may also opt out by calling 678-866-1955 or emailing [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile opt-in information and consent records are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. How we use your information
| Purpose | What that means |
|---|---|
| Providing our service | Responding to your inquiry, matching you with an appropriate licensed lender or insurance agent, and sending requested guides and materials. |
| Contacting you | Calling, emailing, or texting you about your inquiry, including follow-ups. Some contact is automated. |
| Marketing | Sending educational and promotional material about reverse mortgages and insurance products. You can opt out at any time. |
| Advertising measurement | Measuring which ads and campaigns work, and building audiences with advertising platforms. See Section 9. |
| Improving our service | Analyzing website usage, reviewing call and chat records for quality and training, and improving how we explain products. |
| Legal and compliance | Maintaining consent records, honoring opt-out requests, responding to lawful requests, preventing fraud, and enforcing our terms. |
8. How we share your information
8.1 Lending and insurance partners
This is the core of what we do, so we want it stated plainly. When you submit an inquiry, we share the information you provided with one or more licensed reverse mortgage lenders or licensed insurance agents so they can contact you. We receive compensation from those partners for qualified referrals.
Once your information is with a partner, their own privacy policy governs how they use it. We encourage you to ask any partner who contacts you for a copy of their privacy policy.
8.2 Service providers
We share information with vendors who operate our business on our behalf, including our customer relationship management and marketing automation platform, form and website hosting providers, telephony and text messaging providers, email delivery services, analytics providers, and the artificial intelligence technology provider that powers our chat assistant. These vendors are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
8.3 Advertising platforms
We may share limited identifiers with advertising platforms to measure campaign performance and build audiences. This may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state laws. See Section 12 for how to opt out.
8.4 Legal requirements
We may disclose information when required by law or in response to valid legal process, such as a subpoena or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, or protect the safety of any person.
8.5 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will post notice on our website and, where we have your email address and it is practicable, notify you by email.
8.6 With your direction
We share information with other third parties when you ask us to or otherwise direct us to.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, measure advertising performance, and personalize content. This includes analytics tools and advertising pixels operated by third parties such as advertising and social media platforms.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how parts of our site work. You can also:
- Use a browser or extension that transmits a Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by law, we treat that signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. In general:
| Type of information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiry and contact records | Approximately 3 to 5 years from your last interaction with us, unless you request deletion sooner. |
| Consent records for calls and texts | At least 5 years, because we are required to be able to demonstrate that consent was given. |
| Do Not Call and opt-out records | Retained indefinitely, so that we can continue to honor your request. We cannot delete these. |
| Call recordings and AI chat transcripts | Retained with the associated contact record, subject to the same periods above. |
| Website analytics data | Per the retention settings of the analytics provider, typically 14 to 26 months. |
One important limit on deletion. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we must keep a minimal record of your name and contact details on our internal Do Not Call and suppression lists. That is the only way to make sure we do not contact you again. This record is used for no other purpose.
11. How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit using TLS, access controls limiting personal information to personnel who need it, and contractual security obligations on our service providers.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information to us at your own risk.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honor these requests regardless of your state where it is practical to do so.
12.1 Right to know and access
You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we have disclosed it to.
12.2 Right to correct
You can ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
12.3 Right to delete
You can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the exceptions described in Section 10 and any legal retention obligations.
12.4 Right to opt out of sale or sharing
We do not sell your information in the everyday sense of selling a list to whoever will pay for it. However, we do share your inquiry information with lending and insurance partners and we receive compensation for those referrals. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable laws in other states, disclosure of personal information to a third party in exchange for valuable consideration may qualify as a "sale," and disclosure of identifiers to advertising platforms may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We therefore treat both as opt-out rights available to you. To opt out, contact us using any method in Section 18, or transmit a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
What opting out means in practice. The purpose of submitting an inquiry is to be connected with a lender or agent. If you opt out of sharing, we cannot connect you, and we will not be able to fulfill your request for a quote or consultation. You can still contact us with general questions.
12.5 Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
Where applicable law provides it, you may direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the services you requested.
12.6 Right to non-discrimination
We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right, except where the difference is directly related to your choice, as described in Section 12.4.
12.7 How to submit a request
Use any contact method in Section 18. We will need enough information to verify your identity, which normally means confirming the phone number or email address you originally gave us. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, with an extension where permitted.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission from you, and we may ask you to confirm that permission directly.
13. Do Not Call and opt-out
You can stop hearing from us through any of these channels at any time:
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
- Email: click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Phone calls: ask the caller to add you to our Do Not Call list, or call 678-866-1955 and request it.
- All channels: email [email protected] and tell us to remove you entirely.
We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and honor requests promptly. A written copy of our Do Not Call policy is available on request at no cost. We also honor the National Do Not Call Registry as required by law.
If you have already been referred to a lending or insurance partner, you will need to make an opt-out request to that partner separately, since they hold your information under their own policy.
14. State-specific rights
Several states have comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others. Residents of those states may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling.
We extend the rights described in Section 12 to all our users regardless of state. If your state provides a right not listed above, or provides an appeal process for a denied request, contact us and we will follow the process your state requires. California residents may also designate an authorized agent and, in certain cases, request the specific pieces of personal information we hold.
15. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details in Section 18.
16. Third-party links
Our website links to third-party sites, including government and nonprofit consumer resources such as HUD, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the National Funeral Directors Association. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our technology, or the law. When we do, we will post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will provide more prominent notice, which may include a notice on our homepage or an email to the address you gave us.
Your continued use of our website or services after the effective date of an updated policy means you accept the changes.
